A Holistic, Project-Based Program for 1st–6th Grade Students

Step into a joyful, nature-connected learning environment where curiosity leads, creativity blossoms, and community is at the heart of it all. Our drop-off Elementary Enrichment Campus offers a loving and intentional space for mixed-age learners in 1st–6th grade to thrive at their own pace — academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Indie Sol, we follow a child-led, unschooling-inspired approach that allows learning to unfold naturally through wonder, collaboration, and real-world exploration. Students are empowered to follow their interests, express themselves freely, and build deep connections with peers and guides in a nurturing setting.

Each semester weaves together history, language arts, and the fine arts through immersive, project-based learning:

🎭 Tuesdays

  • Creative Writing & Comic Illustration

  • Musical Theatre & Performance

  • History Through Storytelling

  • Music Education (voice, rhythm, instruments)

🌿 Thursdays

  • Literacy & Reading Comprehension

  • History Through Project Based Learning

  • Waldorf-Inspired Handwork & Fiber Arts (knitting, weaving, hand sewing)

  • Creative & Cultural Rhythm & Movement

🎭 At the end of each semester, students showcase their growth through vibrant class performances and project presentations — a celebration of learning, self-expression, and community.

This program provides a safe, loving container for students to build confidence, deepen friendships, and discover who they are in an environment that radiates curiosity, connection, and joy.

🌳 Optional Add-On: Spanish Immersion Hike

Extend your child’s day with our beloved Spanish Immersion Nature Hike, offered from 1:45–3:45 PM on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.

Children ride with Indie the School Bus to Felicita County Park, a vibrant oak forest rich in Kumeyaay history, where they explore:

  • Spanish language through storytelling and song

  • Sensory-rich nature play and cultural connection

  • A peaceful book club under the trees
